Of all the many
places I’ve been,
Faces I’ve worn
Worlds I’ve fit in,
Of all the many
Roads that I walked,
Hills that I climbed,
Ocean I’ve crossed,
Of all the many
Days that I woke,
Nights that I cried,
Empty and broke,
I was learning to be “Me”
And now just like
the Sun I do rise,
from bended knees,
Eyes to the sky
And now just like
the Moon I shine,
accepting the darkness,
as I do this light divine.
And now just like
The Sea I wash away
that which does not fit
to grow another day
As I am learning to be “Me”
